STAFF TRAINING TESTIMONIALS

Change.org has recently made a push to encourage staff to walk or to cycle to work.  However, being in central London there were some concerns about safety, as many staff were keen but not very confident.

Cyclical Monkeys stepped in and spent an excellent afternoon with the team, teaching them how to use the road safely as a cyclist.

Our instructor, Dominic was great, very re-assuring and competent and left the team raring to get out there and show off their new cycling skills.  Dominic took the time afterwards to answer all our questions and advise on any specific concerns, eg: “where should I be positioned on a roundabout”, “how do I cope with fast-moving local traffic”.

Even the more experienced cyclists came away feeling sharper, safer and more confident on the road.

Over half of the team now cycle to work regularly – one of our team now cycles everyday, rain or shine! –  and the office is certainly a healthier happier place since we got on our bikes.  Thank you so much Cyclical Monkeys!!

‘I first met Dominic Spitzer-Wong through a recommendation in 2014 while I was project managing an Inclusive Cycling Scheme for Enfield Council.

Dominic attended our working group for the project on a regular basis and was very supportive throughout.

His professional advice and experience was the key to our success in setting up the scheme and ensuring it was sustainable for the future.

He offered professional advice on start up costs/suppliers/types of cycles/ maintenance/staff training /storage, etc.

Dominic took on the responsibility for sourcing and purchasing quality adapted cycles for our scheme. He organised and personally trained our cycle session operatives.

Dominic supported our cycle scheme opening day with additional cycles and helping support the riders. He supported our first year celebrations and his involvement has seen this scheme operate successfully for nearly three years.

Enfield Council recognised the benefits and outcomes to the community and without Dominic’s support / professional advice etc it wouldn’t have been the success it is.’
